Alejandra Olay She qualified as a lawyer at the Escuela Libre de Derecho in 2000 and subsequently, obtained the degrees of magister in Legislative Studies, MA in European Studies and Ph.D. in Comparative Law at Italian universities.
Currently she advises foreign companies with interests in Mexico during their process of internationalization coordinating procedures for new investment in accordance with the legislation of the client, international treaties and Mexican law. Additionally she provides consultancy on government relations. For companies interested in making corporate social responsibility one of their competitive advantages, she draws up codes of best practices and responsible clauses in their commercial contracts.
She served as a consultant to various legislative committees of the Senate of Mexico, legal consultant for lobbying strategies, and internationalist civilian lawyer. In Italy she has been a consultant in Comparative Law for the Consiglio Regionale della Toscana and has advised various Italian companies with interests in Mexico during their process of internationalization.
For several years, Alejandra Olay taught refresher courses in international law for the Judicial Power of the Federation in Mexico, including the Supreme Court. She has taught Obligations, Private International Law and Comparative Legal Systems at Universidad Anahuac Mexico Sur and professor in the postgraduate in Law and Business from the Universidad Panamericana. She has published articles and case studies on Business Law and social responsibility of business in Mexico and abroad. She has spoken at various forums in Mexico, Italy and the United States.
