Carlos Bernal was a partner of Noriega y Escobedo from 1978 to 2008 and is now legal consultant for the firm in different areas, among which international commercial arbitration is prominent.
He is at present a tenured professor in the law department of the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
He has ample experience in corporate law and throughout his career he oversaw multiple company incorporations, corporate restructurings and company dissolutions and liquidations, as well as mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, the negotiation of joint ventures, BOTs and Bts.
He has vast experience in the review, drafting and negotiation of domestic and international agreements and in foreign investment matters.
For more than 11 years he has implemented and conducted various arbitral and mediation proceedings at both the domestic and international levels.
